Recognizing that governments, at all levels, have enormous impact on the housing industry, the Association has made industry advocacy a high priority.
We work closely with governments to encourage and ensure that economic regulatory reform initiatives increase affordability, quality and choice in housing.
Immediate access to a great storehouse of knowledge that is available through monthly member meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, technical publications, industry positions papers.
Outstanding networking opportunities with professionals from every part of the residential building and renovation industry are a fundamental part of what the Association is all about.
At local Association functions (such as monthly member meetings) members compare notes, make business contacts, catch up on new developments in the local market and discuss common business challenges. Members work together on building and renovation shows, home parades, public seminars, sharing their knowledge an experience.
Local Association volunteer Committees’ work gives members the advantage of being plugged into the latest issues, understanding the challenges and being there to influence the changes.
Up-to-date information, current activities and initiatives are the focus of the monthly newsletter, which is available to over 85 members, businesses, government departments and associations.
Keeping up with new technology and new ways of managing business is a key to staying on top. Membership offers these opportunities through the Professional Home Builders’ Institute training and development programs.
